Arsenal thrash Everton 4-0 to boost top-four hopes

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard all scored as Arsenal thrashed Everton 4-0 to boost their hopes of finishing in the Premier League top four.

The Gunners dominated the game from start to finish and could have won by a bigger margin had they been more clinical in front of goal.

Saka opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a fine finish into the bottom corner after being played through by Martinelli. Martinelli doubled the lead just seven minutes later with a brilliant solo effort, dribbling past several Everton defenders before firing home from close range.

Odegaard made it three in the 58th minute with a trademark long-range effort that flew into the top corner. Gabriel Jesus added a fourth in the 75th minute to complete the rout.

The win moves Arsenal up to fourth in the table, two points behind Manchester City and one point behind Newcastle United. They will now face Brentford in their next Premier League game on February 11.
