Aston Villa Targeting January Move for Raphinha

Premier League side Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona winger Raphinha during the January transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, Villa manager Unai Emery is a big admirer of the Brazilian and sees him as a key target to bolster his attacking options.

Raphinha, 26, joined Barcelona from Leeds United in the summer of 2022 for a fee of around £55 million.

The winger has been in impressive form for Barcelona this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists in 14 La Liga appearances.

He has also been a regular for the Brazilian national team, earning 11 caps and scoring five goals.

Raphinha's pace, dribbling ability, and eye for goal make him a highly sought-after player.

Aston Villa have struggled for goals this season, scoring just 25 in 16 Premier League matches.

Emery is keen to add more creativity and firepower to his attack, and Raphinha fits the bill.

The Spaniard is also a fan of Raphinha's versatility, as the winger can play on either flank or as a central striker.

Barcelona are reportedly willing to sell Raphinha for around £40 million, which is less than the fee they paid for him in the summer.
